I believe that the healing process starts with patients feeling comfortable with their doctor. That is why I would like to share a little bit about myself.
The most important thing to know is that I am a person who gets excited about helping people get healthy, and keeping them motivated to create an active and vibrant lifestyle.
The decision to become a Chiropractor was therefore a natural extension of who I am. I have always been very active and interested in biology and health. I spent my youth raising and training horses, often tending to their injuries and health needs.
I was first introduced to Chiropractic by my sister in 1992, who at the time was studying to become a Chiropractor herself. I graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1998 and then did a 3-year residency in Radiology at Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier, California. After practicing in Connecticut for a few years, we decided to make the move back West to raise our son here in Central Oregon.
I believe that doctors are at their best when we care for the patient and not merely treat their symptoms. If you are looking for a physician who is willing to listen to your concerns and help you design a care program to restore your health without drugs or surgery, you will feel right at home at Miner Chiropractic.
Thanks for visiting our site and I hope to have the opportunity to meet you in the near future!
Laura Gardiner, DC, Diplomate American Chiropractic Board of Radiology
Dr. Wise was first introduced to chiropractic in 1992, after a 20 foot fall while rock climbing left him with severe neck pain and a chronic earache.
"I saw several medical doctors, none were able to help me and I continued to suffer for most of the summer. At the time, I was working as a banquet waiter for a Hilton Hotel. My boss noticed I was struggling, no longer able to carry trays above my head. He suggested I see his Chiropractor. I didn’t know much about chiropractic but my boss swore by this guy. Sure enough, within a couple of visits, my mysterious ear pain was gone and the pain in my neck was no more. My experience was so profound that I halted my graduate studies as a biological illustrator and headed off to become a Chiropractor instead."
From that experience, Dr. Wise found his passion for health and shaped his approach to wellness. He continues his training in functional nutrition and has completed a certificate as a strength and condition trainer.
His recipe for living life at an optimal level is guided by a few basic lifestyle principles: reduce stress, eat sensibly, increase energy with some daily exercise, and our bodies will be safeguarded from ill health and disease. Click here for an informative website advocating healthy life choices.
Both Dr. Gardiner and Dr. Wise are fully licenses through the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners
